Our Sustainability Practices: How We Give Back

At our sustainable salon, we charge a small $3 surcharge to help support a wide range of impactful initiatives that benefit both people and the planet. This surcharge directly contributes to the recycling and responsible disposal of chemicals, metals, plastics, and other salon waste. We work hard to minimize our environmental impact by collecting and recycling materials such as hair, paper, and tools, and we donate valuable resources to support local charities and global causes.

A significant portion of the hair we collect is used to create wigs for children suffering from cancer and alopecia, while other donations go towards funding research and providing meals for those in need through organizations like OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest. In addition, our sustainable practices help promote a culture of waste reduction within the salon industry, teaching current and future stylists the importance of environmentally conscious work.

The $3 surcharge is vital for us to continue making a positive impact, from supporting people with disabilities to partnering with local charities, and helping fund critical initiatives like disaster relief and food security. It’s a small contribution with a big purpose, helping us build a greener, more supportive future for all.
